Osborn Festival Begins in Congo

Now that the Believer's Seminar has concluded, the participants have disbursed to invite the hurting, sick, hopeless and unbelievers to the Festival.

Bishop Osborn writes: "As I arrive on the Matadi Festival grounds, the people begin to shout wit the excitement that only hope gives. Within 10 minutes from the beginning of this Festival service, my interpreter, Pastor Jacque and I have taken the microphones. People are continuing to pour onto the Festival grounds. After a brief Gospel message on THE POWER OF JESUS, I invite the people to receive Jesus into their hearts. Multiplied thousands raise their hands to experience Jesus' power to forgive their sins. They repeat the prayer for salvation with great fervor. There is joy across this vast multitude. The people lay their hands on their sick bodies as I pray for them, commanding the spirits of disease to leave the people. Even before I give instructions, the people begin acting their faith. As the platform fills with people who are eager to testify I begin noticing something remarkable. ALL of those giving testimonies had been crippled, because of strokes, rheumatism, accidents, curses or some other cause. One woman had been deaf, but she had also been crippled. Another had sickness throughout her body. But again, she was also crippled. One six year old boy was carried to the Festival on his mother's back. One year ago a mysterious illness left the boy crippled. His legs drew up tightly and he never walked again. After the prayer for healing he told his mother, "Put me down. I know I can walk!". The mother weeps before the people thanking God, as her boy runs across the platform, a broad smile across his beautiful face. We've only just begun!

Our missions team reported on the wonderful ministry that took place last week in So. Dakota. These plush teddy bears will be distributed to the children on the reservation this Christmas. Last week's mission focused on the youth on the Reservation. Through dance, drama & testimonies by our IGC YOUTH (pictured here in red), and the rap ministry of the THUGG BISHOP, many LaKota Youth heard the Gospel in their own language - and responded!

Daneesa Carol O'Dell 1967-2009

Daneesa O'Dell, youngest daughter of Dr. LaDonna Osborn passed away Wednesday morning and joined her Lord Jesus Christ in heaven. Daneesa was a charter Member of International Gospel Center and very active in the Osborn Ministries as Bishop LaDonna's long time personal assistant. She was born March 22, 1967 and was the mother of three sons. The IGC Family will always remember her for her kindness, sense of humor and quick wit. She was as a strong loving mother to three handsome young men of God. Daneesa's passing will undoubtedly leave her family grieving for her presence while they celebrate her life, her work and her love while on this earth. She brought happiness to many with a servant attitude. A woman of God, praised by her family, admired by her co-laborers, now rejoicing with her Creator.

The Funeral will be Tuesday, Sept. 15 @ 10 am at International Gospel Center, 555 S. Memorial Dr, Tulsa. Visitation & viewing will be during the day on Monday@ Ninde Funeral Home, Woodland Chapel, 5757 S. Memorial Dr, Tulsa. The family will be at the Funeral Home to receive visitors from 5-7 pm.

For over 60 years the Osborn family has lived by faith – bringing Jesus’ love and hope to millions of people worldwide. Since the unexpected passing of this vibrant young woman of God has left them unprepared to deal with her burial expenses, the family requests that a financial donation be made in lieu of flowers. On Wednesday night we heard from our missionaries who are giving their lives to rescue abused, neglected, enslaved and exploited children in the Philippines. Our Missions Teams are home from their summer ministry assignments! Our So. Dakota Team (8 youth and 5 adults) gave their report to the congregation on Wednesday eve. Everyone was on the edge of their seats recounted the horrible results of Meth abuse among the teens on the reservation - and then demonstrated how their dancing, original skits and service made an inroad with the other teens (and everyone else who attended the services). This wasn't an easy trip (note the van - full of supplies to minister love as well as serve as our team's food rations!

Also, Bishop LaDonna and her team (Deac. Cory Nickerson, Rev. Harry Jackson &Rev. Jennifer Yeager) returned from their 7 weeks in Indonesia with countless stories of the many miracles - proof of God's Love for people! Bishop LaDonna reports from the city of Palankaraya, Indonesia where Jesus is once again showing himself ALIVE! She says,

As the sun is setting, the multitude of people listens. I tell them of God's love for them and assure them that only GOOD gifts are from Him. Pain, suffering, sickness and disease are not from God. From one of the stories in the Gospel of Luke, I show the people how they too can come to Jesus and receive His healing. It is important here to stress the identity of and the miracle resurrection of Jesus. Muslims have gathered and they must know the absolute authority and supremacy of Jesus Christ. Once again, when I invite people to believe on Jesus, to turn from their old ways of living and to receive His miracle life, it seems that every first timer raises his or her hands. A sea of golden hands, reaches heaven ward with hope and faith. Surely the heavenly hosts rejoice and break into joyful dance. Tonight after the prayer for the sick I encourage the people to act their faith, to do what they could not do before. Throughout the multitude people are getting out of wheelchairs, friends are checking the sight and hearing of their neighbors. Miracles are taking place everywhere. Soon both platform stairs are overflowing with people coming to testify!

Bishop Osborn and her team have just completed another seminar & festival in Waingapu. It was a glorious success. She writes:

After the prayers for healing, there was a rush on the platform, as people came to give testimony to their miracle. The final day the pastors had to stand as a barricade to prevent the push of people from literally pushing us forward off the platform. We heard testimonies for nearly two hours on the final day. Cripples were walking. Children who had never walked were running. So many bind and deaf were healed that I lost count!

Keep praying for her and those ministering with her! They have traveled and arrived at their next location: Borneo.

Summer Youth (M.A.D.D.) Camp Underway!

Our annual summer arts camp (MADD Camp = Music, Arts, Dance & Drama) began Monday night with a bang! Lots of children from the Greater Tulsa Community gathered to have fun, SCREAM about Jesus' love and be tutored in the fine arts. After a week of instruction they will host a recital on Friday Night (July 24)!

Youth Love Ministry in Indonesia

Bishop LaDonna, Deac. Cory (her husband), Rev. Jennifer Yeager (IGC Music Minister) and Rev. Harry Jackson (Global Ministry Coordinator) are continuing their ministry in Indonesia. Now they are in Waingapu, and reports have been AWESOME. Even secular media has followed the ministry events with positive reports and reported the astonishing miracles that have already transpired. The past few days have ben spent training the Christian leaders and workers (more than half are under the age of 30.) Bishop LaDonna impresses them with Christ's purpose and destiny for their lives. She reminds them of the words of Jesus, "You didn't choose me bit I chose you, and ordained you that you should go and bear fruit..." (Jn 15:16) She challenges the pastors and the older Christians, "Believe in young people. Don't squeeze them into the mold of yesterday. The Church needs the energy, the zeal and the creativity of young people, if it is going relate to a new generation for Christ." She tells the young people, "God will do new things through you. He will give you ideas that He's given to no one else. Trust Him and His plan to live in you and to minister to hurting people through you."

W.I.N. Workshop Convenes in Tulsa

Another W.I.N. class (the Women's International Newtork) convened Saturday, July 11. W.I.N. is the ministry founded by Bishop LaDonna Osborn to encourage, educate and equip women in Christian ministry. W.I.N. offers classes, workshops, seminars and fellowship gatherings which address practical and theological issues that pertain to woman (and men) in ministry. Saturday's class was entitled, The Itinerant Women in Ministry, and was taught by Rev. Marthal Jackson.

Faith Mission, IGC celebrated 11 years of serving the Lord and the greater Tulsa community last Sunday. Pastored by Pastor Grace Edobor (from Nigeria), FMIGC was founded to minister to the needs of a growing Bible Study group at Normandy Apartments. From those humble beginnings, the ministry has grown into a full-service church with a consistent schedule including regular weekly worship services ; children’s outreaches; a weekly Senior Citizens Bible study and food pantry; Hospital chaplaincy, Bible studies for Russian-speaking residents; ministry services in the Tulsa suburb of Coweta.

My Best Men are Women!

Thats what Salvation Army Founder William Booth said about the vast numbers of women that he and his wife, Catherine, enlisted to carry out the work of the Salvation Army at its inception 150 years ago! Since that time the Salvation Army has infiltrated every continent with a Gospel message demonstrated with love in action!

So, it comes as no surprise that Bishop LaDonna chose to convene the summer class of W.I.N. (the Women's International Network) at Sundbury Court, the Salvation Army International Headquaters in London, England. Women (and men) from Congo, Nigeria, Canada, Holland, England, Belgium, America and Nigeria are studying this week in an intense ministry course.

With Bishop LaDonna is Pastor Chyanna, Rev. Rachael Miller (WIN Administrator), Paula Derby, Katrina Shaw, Ceretha & Hosanna Terrell-Causey, and Rachel Thomas (Bishop's oldest granddaughter).

The children of IGC are continually exposed to the message of Christ which is for ALL people. They are learning about Jesus and His MISSION. Bishop LaDonna taught them that "MISSION is telling people about Jesus." This is the great mission that Jesus gave to all of His followers. Even children can tell their friends about Jesus.

Dr. T.L. and Bishop took the children and youth on a "Missions Field Trip," to the international headquarters offices of the Osborn Ministries International. They learn about the early years of the ministry and the Osborn family. They were happy to see that their bishop had been involved in ministry from childhood. Their eyes stared as they saw the photos of lepers healed by the power of God.

It's never too early to teach children that each life is valuable to God - both those needing Jesus, and those who tell them about the great love of God. This is the Jesus-life at its best - TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT JESUS.
