Advent begings with Hanging of the Greens!

We began the celebration of ADVENT today - that's where we get ready for Christ's appearing by anticipating the Christmas Season. Todays' theme: HOPE! Specifically, the HOPE that the prophets gave the people walking in darkness more than 600 years before Jesus came in the flesh. Bishop LaDonna gave us a report on the recent ministry to TOGO, West Africa (go to our website - http://www.igcenter.org to hear her message.)
Everyone who attended service today participated in decorating the sanctuary - the children's part was to handle the Christmas Tree.

We also prayed for this weeks' Missions Teams (Rev. Donald O'Dell headed to Ecuador & our South Dakota Group headed to the Pine Ridge Reservation)

Thanksgiving Sunday

We love to stop and reflect on God's faithfulness to us as a Church and this Sunday was no different - even though it was officially THANKSGIVING SUNDAY!

We had lots to thank God for . . .

- Rev. Ceretha Terrell-Causey lead the Congregation in celebrating Pastor Chyanna's Birthday

- Dr. T.L. welcomed his great-grand children back to IGC (this is Rev. Donald O'Dell's Family. Donald is Bishop LaDonna's youngest child. He and his wife, Rev. Carina, and children are missionaries to Ecuador)

- Bishop LaDonna and our Togo missions team are concluding the successful festival of Faith & Miracles there with many great reports!

Missions Sunday with Missionary Kim Oakley

Every 3rd Sunday is Missions Sunday at IGC. We take special time to pray for our MANY missionaries and to allow at least 1 of them to minister to us in person. This month's speaker was Rev. Kim Oakley - a Charter member of IGC and a veteran missionary.

Another Powerful Sunday Service

Every service is unique - but some things never change - THE PRESENCE OF JESUS and HIS LOVE during IGC Church worship services!

Today we prayed for IGC Nursery & Preschool Leaders, received special greetings from Pastor Msimba Boto (Angola) and encouraging words from Dr. T.L. Osborn regarding our ministry in Francophone Africa. Bishop LaDonna Osborn and her team leave for Togo, Africa on Monday - so we also prayed for them.

In the evening, we celebrated Pastor Chyanna's 14th year as IGC's Senior Pastor!! What a fun celebration we had - complete with snow (Pastor Chy's favorite).

Family Sunday @ IGC

Every 1 st Sunday is Family Sunday and we celebrate in some wonderful ways. Here Bishop LaDonna & her father, Dr. TL Osborn, lead us in Communion.
